Tanaiste Simon Coveney visits Waterford - Deise Today Thursday 30th January

The Tanaiste Simon Coveney visits Waterford and is in studio chatting to Damien about a number of issues that effect Waterford including The North Quays and the University Hospital Waterford.

Also in part 1 Damien speaks to Dr James Ryan, consultant Endocrinologist at The Mater Private about their research which focuses on wellness in work. The research shows that nearly 70% of employees experience some form of stress, four in 10 claim to have suffered from burnout and 30% believe they have a good work-life balance.

In part two of the show, Shirley Sullivan, the mother of one of the boys injured in the acid attack, fights for justice.

Nutritionist Gemma Kehoe talks about gluten free diets after a study by Safefood Ireland found that more than 90% of people who buy gluten free foods do not have a gluten-related disorder or coeliac disease and mistakenly believe gluten-free diet has health benefits.

Alexander Street in Waterford was crowned the winner of the Pride of Place awards at the end of last year. Damien is joined by members of the residents association which has been in existence for 14 years and was established to bring residents together to promote and enhance their local area and act as a voice for the community.
