The second of WLR’s election debates was held in the Granville Hotel last night hosted by Deise Today's Damien Tiernan. The participating candidates were Ronan Cleary, Aontú, David Cullinane, Sinn Fein, John Cummins, Fine Gael, Una Dunphy, People Before Profit, Eddie Mulligan, Fianna Fáil, and Marc O’Cathasigh, Green Party.
Issues which arose included the trading difficulties in the city centre and whether the north quays project would be delivered, concerns over the fishing industry, climate change, disability services and education. The debate was recorded in front of an invited audience from sectors encompassing taxi drivers, addiction services, education, farming, fishing, business, students, among others.
