Jimmy Burrows from the Fresh Food Court in Dungarvan tells Damien about his recent award for "butchery and food hall of the year 2019" from butchery excellence international.
And postmaster Sean Martin gives a perspective on Christmas from the viewpoint of staff working in post offices at this busy time.
In the second part of the programme Damien is joined in studio by local poet Clodagh Beresford Dunne who was awarded the Clarissa Luard Award in London in November. She was personally selected for the award by Edna O’Brien.
Susan Furniss tells Damien about her design, the Wrist Pocket, which was designed as a solution to carrying a mobile phone and cash around when you don’t have a handbag. It’s a purse with 2 pockets, one for your phone and the other for cash, cards and other small items. The idea is to have your phone TO hand but not IN your hand.
