Noel Connors & Maurice Shanahan left out of the 2020 Hurling Panel - Deise Today Monday 14th October

The big story that had everyone talking was the announcement by the new Waterford Hurling Management team that last year's captain Noel Connors and Maurice Shanahan were to be left out of the panel for the 2020 season. Damien got reaction to this story, as well as to the news that Ballygunnar had lifted the county title for the 6th time in a row.

Barry Roche, the Irish Times Southern correspondent joined Damien with the latest on the news of the death of a homeless man in Cork while Gerry Arthurs, a lecturer in International Relations at WIT spoke about what could possibly be next in the Brexit saga.

There was good news that the Waterford Greenway is to be extended into County Wexford. Damien spoke to Michael Sheehan, the chairman of Wexford council.

And Jack Power spoke to Damien about allegations at Rockwell college.

In the second part of the show Gavin Whelan spoke about the sports stories of the weekend; Brian O Connell spoke about his new book on the personal ads; and Brian Swift chatted about fostering children.
