Meet Waterford’s best young entrepreneurs and finalists of the Local Enterprise Office IBYE Awards

18 of Waterford's young entrepreneurs have been selected by Waterford's Local Enterprise Office for the county final of Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE) competition 2019. Now in its fifth year, this nationwide competition invites 18-35 year olds who have a business idea, a start-up or an already established business to enter.

In order to help prepare the finalists for this stage of the competition, Waterford Local Enterprise Office hosted a two-day intensive business bootcamp to help participants develop their ideas and businesses, to refine their business plans and prepare a pitch for delivery to the judging panel.

The awards ceremony, which will be hosted by our very own Damien Tiernan, presenter of Déise Today, will take place at Dooley's Hotel on the evening of Friday, April 26th, where three winners and three runners up from the shortlisted entrepreneurs will be announced. One of the 3 winners will also be nominated as Waterford's Best Young Entrepreneur. County Winners will go on to compete at Regional Finals and if successful, all the way to the National Finals.
