Concern over Cancer Screening Delays - Deise Today Thursday 11th June

On the show today Damien speaks to Cancer advocate Vicky Phelan about concerns over delays to cancer diagnosis due to Covid-19. Its reported that up to 200,000 women are waiting on tests however they face delays because of the lockdown.

Michael O Toole, Crime Correspondent with The Star newspaper reports on the announcement yesterday that Daniel Kinahan, a senior figure in organised crime, is promoting a boxing fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. The Star newspaper has called Kinahan a Mobster and is refusing to cover the fight.

Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan tells Damien about new guidelines for returning to church services at the end of this month. Priests must wear face mask and there will be no hand shaking. They are also considering an online booking system to avoid over crowding.

Bonmahon residents Sean Corcoran and Michael Murphy talk to Damien about their concern over litter along the Copper Coast. They have set up a Facebook group and are organising beach clean-ups.
