The Christmas Chronicles: On Christmas Eve, brother and sister Teddy and Kate Pierce come up with a plan to nab Saint Nick. After things go wrong, the youngsters team up with jolly ole Santa Claus and his merry elves to rescue Christmas for girls and boys everywhere. This is without a doubt the most sentimental Christmas movie in quite some time. There have been a lot of big-screen depictions of Santa Claus, but very few have the personality, heart, and plausibility that Kurt Russell does.

Gordon, Gino, and Fred's Great Christmas Roast: Gordon Ramsay and Gino D'Acampo are competing to create an unforgettable holiday supper preparing mouthwatering appetisers, outstanding main courses, and decadent desserts for 100 fortunate guests. It's a holiday battle with all the finishing touches. Very enjoyable, very tasty, and brimming with the spirit of Christmas. And that's just the food.

Best Christmas Ever:  Thanks to her old college best friend Jackie, (Brandy Norwood), sending out an annual newsletter, Charlotte (Heather Graham) detests the holiday season. In Mary Lambert's charmingly bizarre and excellent contribution to the streamer's Christmas Cinematic Universe, the two estranged acquaintances get together for the Christmas celebrations and hilarity ensues.

Home Alone: An exuberant eight-year-old with a penchant for building hazardous items, must defend his own house from quite possibly the world's most stupid criminals. It's fun to imagine, equally fun to watch, and features some of the most famous and hilarious lines of all time. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals

The Muppet Christmas Carol: An ageing miser who despises Christmas is visited by souls that reveal truths from his past and present and predict his future, and transform his outlook on life. In a tale with this much moral depth, it would be simple to go overboard with the sentimental, but Animal, The Swedish Chef, Rizzo, and Gonzo's shocking shenanigans save us from certain disaster. Heart and hilarity are precisely balanced in this one, and the music is chock-full of delightful original tunes.

The Santa Claus: Unknowingly accepting the role of Santa Claus after assisting him with a Christmas issue, Scott becomes the next Santa Claus. Now, in addition to trying to protect his secret, he has cope with a suspicious ex-wife. If you loved Home Improvement, you're going to love this movie because of its abundance of Tim Allen humour. A cosy, comforting, and clever holiday movie.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: As an avid devotee of Christmas, Clark Griswold resolves to make it spectacular until he utterly screws everything up and starts a downward spiral of disastrous events. Without a question, one of my favourite films to watch throughout the holidays is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. It's not only hysterical but like the scene in the attic where Clark is crying while viewing old movies, it brings back memories of Christmases past.

Christmas with the Kranks: Everyone is shocked when the Kranks announce that they will not be celebrating Christmas. However, they go into a crazy frenzy to plan a fantastic Christmas when their daughter decides to visit. You can watch this movie to feel the spirit of Christmas at any time of the year. The concept of "skipping Christmas" is hilarious, and the way this tale is told touches on many commonplace customs in many homes.

And if Christmas content just isn't your thing, fear not. Disney plus has added the entire Die Hard franchise to their cache. Yippy-kaye-yay motherflubbers.
