Michael Power, a playwright and actor from Waterford, will be coming back to the Theatre Royal from July 12–15 to feature in his new play, "Going Back."
The Liam Butler-directed drama "Going Back," which also stars Paula Weldon, depicts the tale of Horatio Hart, a man who lives each day as it comes. From his low vantage position atop a cushion put on the ground, Horatio reads people with exceptional precision, though not always to his preference.
After a chilly first encounter, Horatio develops a close connection with young college student Julia. Julia's intellect is eager to soak up all the knowledge from her new clever, well-traveled acquaintance. Horatio complies, but he senses that something is off in Julia's private life.
The last time Michael performed on stage was in Pat Day's sold-out staging of "The Attack" at Theatre Royal. Tickets are available here.
