Although Washed Out did not make the final 6 for the national finals they can still win the wildcard vote.
A final shortlist of six artists has been announced in the search for A New Local Hero – the unique music award, which has been created as part of Irish Music Month.

Mia Black (Shannonside / Northern Sound)
Jessica Brett (Tipp FM)
Projective (Cork's 96FM)

Tickets for the highly anticipated live finale at the Academy in Dublin on Tuesday 15th of October are on sale now.

Vote for Washed Out

WLR's New Local Hero entrant, Washed Out were among the 20 finalists and while they haven't made it to the final six national finalists, a wildcard vote remains.

The wildcard vote would award the winning act a €2,500 bursary. Voting can be made  HERE

Every participating radio station selected four finalists each – giving them the chance to play live on air and paying them for their performance.

Irish Music Month is an initiative of Hot Press and Independent Broadcasters of Ireland and is funded by Coimisiún na Meán, under its Sound & Vision scheme.
