According to Virgin Media News, the country-rock superstar is at an 'advanced stage' of talks for three days at GAA HQ in 2022, with options for two more dates depending on sales.

The Garth Brooks gigs that never were

This news has sent social media into overdrive. The 'Friends in Low Places' singer controversially cancelled his bookings at Croker in 2014. Back then, residents objected to a five night run of gigs, leading Brooks to pull out and disappointing thousands of fans. The situation turned into something of a national controversy, with the singer going as far as asking the then Taoiseach Enda Kenny to intervene.

What's the latest update we have?

So far, it's just a report. No official comment has been made by Croke Park or Dublin City Council. But that won't stop tens of thousands of fans dusting off their Stetsons and hoping that they'll finally get an answer to 'unanswered prayers.'
