A climate conscious theatrical experience will take to the stage in Waterford's Theatre Royal.

The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Ministers Catherine Martin and Eamon Ryan announced on Friday that 43 recipients would receive funding under the new Creative Climate Action Fund. One of these recipients is a climate-conscious collaboration between Waterford's Theatre Royal and artist-in-residence Nick Kavanagh of Curious State Theatre Company.

The theatre piece, titled "The Greenhouse," will take audiences on a fantastical journey through dimension, time, light shows, and sound. It will premiere on the stage of the Theatre Royal before moving outside into the theater's urban biodiversity garden and onto the streets of Waterford.

This Creative Ireland initiative promotes endeavours that raise the public's consciousness of environmental issues and give people the tools they need to change their ways of thinking.
