Maria spoke to Lucie from the HomeShare, who help older people remain in their own home. They also find affordable accommodation to struggling renters. Accommodation seekers are offered a bedroom in the home in exchange for offering 10 hours per week of companionship and practical support to the older Householder eg: meal preparations, shopping, household tasks, as well as an overnight presence for peace of mind and in case of emergencies.
