
A thanksgiving declaration circulated by Cromwell after the siege of Waterford
Waterford fell to Cromwell on August 10th, 1650, and while local people were obviously not happy, it was a cause of huge celebration for his followers. Eamonn McEneaney from Waterford Treasures discussed the significance of a pamphlet calling for a day of thanksgiving to mark this event.
