In his virtual tour of Waterford Treasures on WLR’s Big Breakfast Blaa,Eamonn McEneaney tells Ollie all about the Malcomson Family,owners of the Neptune Ship Yard,Park Road, Waterford and the Portlaw Cotton Mills.The above photograph shows a silver box for calling cards presented to Ms Sarah Malcomson when she launched the SS William Penn in 1865.Extremely generously bought at auction by Peter and Ann Carroll and donated to the museum.
