The Wildcats find themselves joint-top of the MissQuote.ie Super League after the first two rounds of games.

Tommy O' Mahony's side were 15-point winners over Fr Mathews of Cork this past weekend to make it two wins from two and a first win on the road for the year.

New American singing Karli Seay was to the fore once again for the Waterford side netting 25 of their 90 points. The tone was set early on with Irish international Sarah Hickey draining a three-pointer in the fourth minute. While the home side offered plenty of resistance, the Wildcats were able to ride the wave and lead 54-47 at the break.

Hickey and her sister Kate were everywhere on the night - shooting, defending and providing assists for teammates.

Sarah would go on to notch 20 points on the night, while Kate provided 17.

The second half of the game was a bit more routine for O' Mahony's charges who had started to turn the screw on their Cork opponents - leading 73-63 heading into the final quarter. 17 fourth-quarter points were more than enough to deny Fr. Mathews a first home win of the season.

Elsewhere, the Vikings' search for a first win in the first division goes on.

In a packed Carrickpherish Sports Hall on Friday they went down to Scots Lakers Killarney on a score line of 99 - 71.

Poor defence from the Vikings when they really needed it at the start of the second half allowed the Kerry team open up a gap that the Waterford team never managed to get close too despite a battling performance from Dean Kavanagh's side.

Top scorers for the Vikings on the night were Freeman Brou with 15, Daniel Sheehan with 11 and Craig O’Neill with 11 also.
