Waterford are through to the All Ireland camogie semi finals for the second year in a row.

The Déise finished top of Group 3 after a 21 point win over Antrim at the SETU Arena. Beth Carton and Mairead O'Brien netted twice while Niamh Rockett also raised a green flag.

Carton scored 2-10 to bring her tally to 6-106 for 2023. She lobbed Antrim goalkeeper Caitriona Graham four minutes into the second half. Déise manager Sean Power was full of praise for the three-time All Star. “Look, when you’re in the presence of greatness, you’re in the presence of greatness! Cheeky maybe one would say! To have the skill to execute that in a senior All Ireland championship, you have to be pretty special now and she is that. We’re so lucky to have someone like Beth Carton in Waterford. Other counties would kill for her. She’s ours and we’re so lucky to have her. You have to take your hat off to her, she’s brilliant.”
