Roanmore defender Gavin O'Brien says that they want to do Waterford proud in today's Munster intermediate football semi final against Mungret St Pauls.
The Sky Blues are sixty minutes away from their first provincial decider and O'Brien says that they will give it their best shot. "Opportunities like this don't come around too often. To be honest, a lot of us wouldn't have dreamed of it in football terms. We would have been hoping to represent the club on big days in hurling. This is an opportunity that's after presenting itself this year. It's definitely something we're really going after. It's absolutely unbelievable to be going up to the field on a Tuesday and a Thursday night and training this time of the year with friends and colleagues. It would be a massive thing for the club to represent ourselves in a Munster final. We want to keep the journey going. We love being in each other's company. It would be a massive boost for Waterford football as well if a club team could get to a Munster final and fly the flag."
