Ferrybank will tackle Kerry champions Crotta O'Neills on Sunday in the Munster Intermediate Hurling Quarter Final. Throw in is at 1.30 in Ballyagran County Limerick on Sunday.

Captain Robbie Carew says that the club is on a high since the county final victory over Cappoquin two months ago. "A lot of us are playing ten or eleven years adult hurling. We got to a couple of Eastern finals but we never thought we'd win a county final. We were down so many players; staying up was our goal at the start of the year. Bit by bit we got stronger and stronger. It's been a great couple of months for the club with the minors winning as well."

Carew had the honour of lifting the Pat Hunt Cup. "When we were up getting the trophy, we were looking down and seeing family and friends. It was great. On the field after, we were all getting our photos taken. Something we never thought we'd have to be honest with you. It was a great experience seeing everyone up there and soaking it all in.  The hour or so after on the field was absolutely brilliant."

Paddy Mullally's men picked themselves up off the floor after a 20 point loss to Ballygunner in last year's Eastern semi final. "It was a long winter," Carew admits. "We didn't know if we'd get a manager, we didn't know who was playing. If January, we met up and we had who we had. We picked up a few bodies along the way but at the start, it was scraping the barrel. We ended up winning the league but some days we only had fifteen or sixteen players."
