The Waterford camogie team are back in the All Ireland quarter finals for the fourth year in a row.
Derek Lyons' side will do battle with Tipperary on Saturday evening at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Tipp defeated the Déise at the same stage last year and midfielder Shona Curran says that they learned a lot from that experience. “Looking back on the game, we were disappointed with our performance on the day. We didn’t do ourselves justice. It was down to intensity on the field; Tipperary brought more than we did. We know what we’re capable of, it’s just about getting that performance out of ourselves. It’s something we’ve spoke about all year. We’ve got it right in the three championship games so far so if we can bring that on another step, we’ll have a right crack off it on Saturday.”
Defender Sibéal Harney is ruled out for the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury but Curran says that she is still a big part of the panel. “True to her form, she hasn’t missed a training session since and she’s been driving the thing on.”
