The TUS Gaelic Grounds is the venue for Waterford and Limerick this evening.

Whoever comes out on top will claim top spot in the Munster Championship.

Waterford are looking to become the first team to topple Limerick in the Championship since their All-Ireland semi-final loss to Kilkenny in 2019.

Ahead of throw-in, WLR Sport got the views of some parties on either side of the tie.

Eoin Murphy - Former DeiseAll-Star on Waterford's goal-scoring: "Waterford scored 22 goals in the league, which is an unbelievable return for goals. They definitely the one team that have goals on their mind more than others. I do think it will have a bearing on the Championship going forward."

Ollie Moran - Former Limerick Captain on Limerick's win over Cork: "That's down to Limerick's defensive formation. They have a very good system of defending, and even in attack, if you left aside some sloppy wides and passes, they were fairly clinical for the most part. Limerick, they know themselves inside out at this stage, they're very comfortable with how they play. Is there anything different from last year? Not in my view."

Former Waterford Captain Brian Flannery on the team selection against Tipperary: "Had the game not been retrieved you could ask the question. Particularly Austin Gleeson who had played the league semi-final, why didn't you start him if he's fit enough to come on at halftime? Jamie Barron is a little bit different in that he hadn't played any of the league games, so probably that 35 or 40 minutes will bring him on even more.  If you're picking your best team and if you want to win the game, I think you're starting Austin and Jamie."

Irish Independent GAA Writer Michael Verney on beating Limerick: "You want to be beating Limerick when they can't get another crack at you. I think learning lessons this weekend will be huge for Liam Cahil and the lads. Putting them to practice later in the year in a knockout game will be the big thing. They'll really want to make it competitive and not have any psychological damage if they do play Limerick again. Make sure that it's competitive, bring them down the stretch, keep them honest and ask them questions that they haven't been asked."
