Waterford native Shane Robinson has been named as FAI Assistant Director of Football.
Robinson began life playing underage with Boh's here in Waterford but earned his stripes by making over 500 appearances in the League of Ireland.
He spent the majority of his career playing midfield for Shamrock Rovers before a move to Drogheda in 2005.
He returned to Rovers twice move before his career ended, with stints at Stirling Lions in Australia and Haka in Finland.
Robinson is qualified with a UEFA A license and Elite Youth License.
His new role with the FAI will see him lead the association's underage international player development program across the men's and women's pathways from U15 to U19.
He will also have responsibility for the talent and recruitment of players.
“I’m delighted to join the Football Association of Ireland and look forward to starting in my role," Sahe said. "Everyone knows my passion for developing young talent in Ireland through my work at Shamrock Rovers."
