Waterford Hockey Club have won the Irish Hockey Challenge for the first time in the club's history.
Leading Portrush 1 nil at the end of the second quarter in UCD, the Northern County reduced the deficit in the third to make it a one-score game.
Stuart Green's Waterford side then stretched their legs down the home straight as they stuck five more goals in the back of the Portrush goal to claim the win on a 7-2 scoreline.
The trophy goes into the cabinet along with the Cork Cup which they won earlier this year.
