Waterford will face Cork in the All Ireland camogie semi finals on Saturday afternoon at Croke Park.
Manager Derek Lyons says that they have been training hard since last December.
"We are now in week 33 of a 35 week programme that we started on December 5. That programme brings us up to All Ireland final day. In that period, we've played Division 2 league games, challenge matches, a Munster game, six All Ireland series, 35 S&C sessions and 50 hurling training sessions. It's not lost on us what these girls are giving to Waterford. It's immense. We have so much responsibility to put things in front of them so that they can maximise what they can achieve. They just eat it up. There's never a complaint with anyone."
Abby Flynn is Waterford's main injury worry ahead of Saturday's game. The De La Salle attacker went off with a hamstring issue in the second half of the win over Limerick last weekend.
"It was a concern and it still is. She's getting assessed by our physios and every day, she's getting treated. The hope is that she will be ready to go again on Saturday. A week is a short time with a knock. It will be a last minute call I'd say."
Cork prevailed by six points in Walsh Park last month but Lyons says that they weren't that far away. "We'd like to think that we're getting a bit closer every time we play them. If we finished with everyone on the field in Walsh Park a few weeks ago and if we played to the best of our ability, we would have been much closer than the six point deficit."
