Waterford's new senior manager says he believes he can bring what's needed to the setup to get them to the All-Ireland final.
The Déise reached the semi-final stage this summer, for the first time in 63 years.
At a meeting last night, former Waterford Minor and Under-21 hurling manager, Seán Power was ratified as county's new camogie boss.
Speaking to WLR, he says he's coming in at an exciting time.
Waterford heading for something special
"Waterford is on that 'up' towards something that could be very, very special," says the Mount Sion man.
"The girls that are playing in the last number of years with the Waterford senior camogie panels are absolutely fantastic.
"I've spoken to previous managers and management teams and they have just the utmost respect."
Back in 2013, Power brought Waterford's minor hurlers to All-Ireland glory and followed that up in 2016 by doing the same with the Under-21s.
He believes he has what it takes to drive Waterford camogie on to the next level.
'If we take it a step further, we're at All-Ireland final stage'
"I'd be hoping that I can bring something to this and that I can help.
"I think I can and I think I can push it that little bit further.
"I think the management team that I've assembled around me, with some more spaces to be filled in, is a very, very good and professional team.
"I know the girls have that desire and dedication to do well and I'm hoping that I can improve it - that would be my ultimate aim.
"If we can take it a step further, we're at All-Ireland final stage and who knows, you get yourself to a final and see what happens then."
Power comes into a Waterford side that has plenty of star players, including seven nominated for All-Stars this year.
The backroom team will include Neil White as Head of Performance, Wayne Power on the coaching staff, and Philly Flynn as goalkeeping coach and a selector.
