Seán Power has been appointed the new manager of Waterford's senior camogie team.

The Mount Sion man brings with him a wealth of experience, having managed the Waterford minor hurlers to All-Ireland glory in 2013 as well as managing the Under-21 hurlers to the same success in 2016.

His was one of the names being bandied about for the top job with the senior hurling side when Derek McGrath stepped down in 2018.

Now, he will look to bring a team of women hungry for All-Ireland success all the way to Croke Park to lift the O'Duffy Cup.

The ladies had a historic run in this year's championship, reaching the semi-final stage for the first time in 63 years.

However, they fell to Cork, who in turn lost to Kilkenny in the final.

Power will take over the role left vacant by Derek Lyons, who stepped down at the start of September after two years in charge.
