Mairéad Wall has been part of the Waterford ladies set-up since 2005 and is still getting a kick out of it.

"I'm going 16 years now with Waterford which is a long time," she told WLR's Lár Na Páirce show. "Hopefully I'm still staying up with the level! I just really enjoy it. Aside from a competitive nature, which I would have, I just really enjoy it. I love going in and meeting all the girls. There's a social side to it as well, meeting people every week. It's really enjoyable despite all the hardship involved. Look, it's a huge commitment. At senior inter county level, you have to give it everything if you're going to be there. The other side of it is meeting the girls and having the chats every week. That's really important as well."

The Déise ladies will face Westmeath in the Division 1 Relegation Play-Off on Sunday at 2 o'clock in Abbotstown.
