Waterford’s Thomas Barr was victorious in the Division 3 Men’s 400m Hurdles at the European Team Championships in Poland this morning.
Representing Ireland as team captain alongside Phil Healy, the Ferrybank AC man came home in a time of 49.41 seconds, a full second ahead of his nearest rival, Austria’s Leo Köhldorfer (50.70s).
The games in Silesia began this morning, with Barr’s victory securing full points for Team Ireland.
