"The O'Gormans had everything that you'd look for"

Former Waterford football boss John Jackson Kiely believes that the O'Gorman twins from The Nire are two of the best defenders that the county has ever produced.

Maurice and Thomas won the Railway Cup with Munster in 2008 and the McGrath Cup with Waterford in 2015. Thomas is searching for his sixth senior medal in Sunday's county final against Rathgormack.

"The O'Gormans had everything that you'd look for," Kiely told WLR's Lár Na Páirce show. "They could play in any era because they had the pace and the skill. Absolutely brilliant. Two of the greatest defenders ever to play for Waterford. If you're picking an all-time team, the two of them are on it."
