Michael Reilly from St. Paul’s Boxing Club is set to compete in the 48kg quarterfinal at the EUBC Junior Boxing Championships in Sarajevo this evening.
He will go up against Nihat Gasimov of Azerbaijan, with the winner securing a bronze medal and a spot in the semi-finals.
Michael's bout is the second contest in Ring B, with boxing action beginning at 6:30 pm Irish Time.
Michael is now a five-time National Champion with two titles coming in 2024 at the Junior 1 and Senior Cadets levels.

His time at the top began in 2020 when he won his first national honours, while he comes from boxing stock with his father Paddy previously winning a National U18 title for St. Paul in 2004.
