The transfer window activity has continued for Waterford FC as we come to the end of January.

Roland Idowu, Nigel Aris, and Richard Taylor have all put pen to paper this week ahead of the Blues first division campaign which kicks off next month.

Idowu was most recently at Boh's and played against the Blues in Dublin prior to Christmas. He has spent the last four years with the underage setups in Southampton and Cardiff City.

The 20-year-old center mid told the club website that "Confidence is high going into the season now, everyone is happy and I’m really excited to get back on the pitch. I’ve heard how great the fans are and even playing against Waterford last season I could hear the noise so I can’t wait to play in front of them.”

Following Idowu into the RSC is Nigel Aris. The attacking midfielder received praise from his manager once the deal was confirmed with Ian Morris stating that “Nigel is quick, direct and really good in 1v1s. He will be an exciting addition to the squad. It’s great to have him in and ready to go into a big week of games for us.”

The most recent addition to the roster was Richard Taylor. The center-back/left-back 21 year old has previously been part of the Burnley U18's, while also spending time at Southend United, Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge.

Morris says he's a player that he's been hoping to sign since he came to the club, “Richard was one we have been chasing since I came in. He’s a big lad, and he’s quick & comfortable on the ball. We are asking him to do a different role to what he has been used to, but which we believe he will excel in.”
