Seven Waterford players on Team of the League

Former Déise defender Brian Flannery has picked seven Waterford players on his Team of the League on Friday's Lár Na Páirce.

Shane McNulty, Jack Fagan, Iarlaith Daly, Darragh Lyons, Patrick Curran, Austin Gleeson and Stephen Bennett all made the cut.

Flannery chose Bennett as his Player of the League after shooting 8-51 in five games. "There's no shock or surprise. He has been the outstanding hurler here to date. He has been the standout performer for Waterford in the last couple of years. He is playing every game at a very high standard. His performances day in, day out are eight or nine out of ten. His leadership qualities have been tremendous. When Waterford need someone to step up, he drifts out the field and wins a ball, he gets one of those monster scores from the middle of the field or he sticks the ball in the back of the net."
