Seamus Power secured his qualification for the FedEx Cup playoffs with a strong showing at the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour last night.

The Touraneena man played 36 holes yesterday, finishing the tournament -9 in a tie for 28th place.

The tournament was ultimately won by Aaron Rai on -18.

He finished in 66th in the overall FedEx standings, having needed to be within the top 70 – and Power will now line up in the FedEx Saint Championship on Thursday,

Prize money for the upcoming series of tournaments stands at $20million apiece.
