Both Waterford clubs in competing in Intermediate and Junior Munster football have been knocked out of the tournament.
Roanmore flew the Waterford flag in the intermediate ranks today when they took on Na Piarsaigh in Kilmallock, but Emmet O Toole's side were unable to turn over the Limerick Champions having trailed by 3 at the break.
The Waterford side played with the breeze in the opening half, but still, the Limerick outfit headed for the dressing room with a one-goal cushion.
The second half caught fire with Na Piarsaigh kicking 2.4 to Roanmore's 1.2.
Kieran Daly goaled for Na Piarsaigh early in the second stanza to make it a seven-point advantage. The two sides traded points from that moment with the seven-point gap not reducing. Paul O Sullivan broke that deadlock when he found the back of the Na Piarsaigh's net for the Sky Blues first goal of the afternoon.
While they were now within four points Roanmore were unable to capitalise and Kieran Daly kicked his second goal for the Limerick outfit.
2.10 to 1.5 is how it ended in Kilmallock, with Na Piarsaigh now moving on to the provincial semi-final.
Elsewhere, Shamrocks have bowed out of the Junior Championship - also at the quarter-final stage.
They were beaten 2.12 to 1.18 by Castlemahon in Quaid Park in their quarter-final.
The Waterford side were leading at halftime by a goal, 1.08 to 0.8, but following the break Castlkemahon kicked into gear kicking a goal and ten points.
Edward Lonergan had gotten the first-half green flag for Shamrocks, with Padraig Hynes kicking their second goal in the final minutes.
The Limerick side will go on to face Fossa or Listry (Kerry) in the semi-final.
