Waterford golfer Seamus Power could potentially be toasting a second PGA Tour victory of 2021 tonight.

The Touraneena native is tied for 2nd going into the final round of the RSM Classic in Georgia, USA - three shots behind the leader, Talor Gooch.

A beautiful chip-in eagle on the 15th was the highlight of the round for Power yesterday as he carded a -3 67 to move to -13 for the week.

The 34-year-old's iron play and short game were superb as he sees himself tee off in the final group at 4.15pm Irish time today.

A win for Power would see him catapult into the top 50 of the world rankings and also book his place at the Augusta Masters and the US Open.

The winner will pick up 500 FedExCup points, and a cheque for $1.29 million.

Speaking following his round yesterday, the West Waterford star says he feels 'comfortable' in contention, and is looking forward to what the final day holds.

"Golf, you're always trying to improve. Some things I was trying to continue to improve here and there, and it's just fun to try and put yourself in contention to see how you react."

"I was able to put myself in good spots on a pretty regular basis in the summer, and you just get a little bit more comfortable," Power said. "You get comfortable at 15th, all of a sudden you're comfortable at 10th and fifth, and that makes a massive difference. Even today being in I think the third last group, you're much more comfortable starting out and hopefully take it into tomorrow."
