Waterford golfer Seamus Power blew off the cobwebs on his return to professional golf at the Sentry Tournament in Hawaii.
Power, who last played a competitive round in August of 2023, had been battling a hip issue when lining out at the Open in Hoylake having previously withdrawn from the Irish Open owing to the same problem.
Doctor's orders meant that rest was required, with surgery luckily not needed.
The Sentry was a no-cut event and offered the ideal returning formula for the West Waterford man who knew regardless of what his card said on Friday, he would have four rounds to play in the Sunshine State.
Three back-to-back-to-back 71s left him low down the leaderboard heading into Sunday, but starting on the back nine for his final round it all looked like things were clicking back into place.
Seamus shot three straight birdies to open and would card two more as well as an eagle before making the turn for home on the front nine.
The good word that had been done up until point was squandered slightly when he hit a treble on the first and would go on to bogey the second. he recovered well on the third, birdying the par 4 before finding an eagle on the fifth.
His Sunday 67 was his best offering of the weekend, leaving him in a share of 50th, 17 shots off the pace of the winner Chris Kirk.
The Tooranena native remains in Hawaii this week as he prepares for the Sony Open on Thursday.
