Waterford attacker Stephen Bennett has received a one-match ban after his straight red card in Sunday's National Hurling League draw with Dublin.

The Ballysaggart man will miss Saturday's away trip to Laois. Déise boss Davy Fitzgerald says that they will accept the punishment. "We'll take that medicine and we'll move on from it."

He hopes to have Tadhg De Burca back by the end of the month. "Tadhg twigged a hamstring in the Wexford game we played a week and a half ago. We're hoping maybe the Antrim game and if not, the Tipp game that we'll have him back in the panel. I could really do with having Tadhg back there. He's a fantastic guy and I mean that genuinely. He's a really good guy to have around the place, really genuine, very smart. He trains as hard as anybody we have. He pushes himself to the limit."

Laois versus Waterford will be our George Corbett Skoda Big Match on Saturday evening.
