Stradbally and Roanmore must do it all over again in the Waterford Senior Football Promotion/Relegation Final.
It finished seven points each in Kill this afternoon. Roanmore attacker Shane Nolan forced a replay with a free three minutes into injury time.
The Reds led 7-5 entering added time but couldn't close out the game. Billy Nolan gathered a 45 from his brother Shane and blasted over his third point of the afternoon. The Sky Blues turned over the ball off the next kickout and Shane Mackey was fouled. Shane Nolan nailed the subsequent free. It proved to be the last kick of a tight and tense encounter.
Stradbally raced 4-1 ahead after nine minutes as Jack Mullaney, Shane Aherne, Paul Tobin and Pa Skehan (free) all raised white flags. Roanmore hung in and a long range point from Billy Nolan left them 5-3 down at the break.
Nolan nailed a 50 metre free in the third quarter as the Sky Blues closed the gap to one. The Premier Intermediate champions squandered a glorious goal chance when Shane Mackey fired left and wide with eight minutes to go. A late free from Michael O'Brien put Stradbally two points up but the Nolans rescued a draw.
In another nail biting affair, Affane captured their first Junior Football title since 1963 with a 0-9 to 1-5 victory over Fenor at An Rinn. Killian O'Sullivan led the way for the Western side with five points. Eoin Nolan netted a goal for Fenor.
De La Salle were crowned Intermediate champions after a 1-10 to 1-5 win against The Nire in Leamybrien. Mitchell Casey grabbed a second half goal for the Gracedieu outfit. Michael O'Sullivan converted an early penalty for The Nire.
