Major Schools Athletic Fixture at the WIT arena on Saturday.

Up to a thousand athletes will be in Waterford on Saturday for the All Ireland Secondary Schools Cross County Championships.

Athletes from Schools all over the 32 counties including Waterford will compete in the event at the WIT Arena in 4 grades, minor, junior, intermediate and senior.

Several thousand spectators are expected to attend.

The first event is at 12 noon.
