Villa FC have missed out on the chance to add the Tom Hand Cup to their growing trophy cabinet.

They lost out to Rockmount United of Cork 4-2 on penalties following a 0-0 draw in Youghal last night.
The competition is played each year between the FAI Junior Cup and FAI Intermediate Cup champions.
There was not much between the sides throughout the encounter, Conor Coad's men came closest to snatching the win when Dean Walsh raced through in the second half slipping the ball past the goalkeeper, only to hit the post.
Elsewhere last night, Dungarvan United Ladies retained their Waterford Women's League title.

Tommy Butler's side were comprehensive victors against Mooncoin last night to add to their Munster Shield title. They're seeking to retain the local cup crown in the coming weeks.

Villa return to Waterford Premier Division action this weekend when they host Carrick United at Connors Park on Saturday night.
