Three-time All Ireland winner with Galway Noel Lane believes that Joe Canning is the best player that the maroon and white has ever produced.
The Portumna forward has scored 50 points in this year's league ahead of Sunday's semi final against Waterford. "He's probably the greatest I've ever seen in any county not alone Galway. He's exceptional. He played for a number of years with teams that weren't as strong as you'd like them to be. At this stage in his career, with the current management, he's absolutely firing on all cylinders. They've been many great players in Galway, other JCs like Joe Connolly and Joe Cooney. Joe is certainly up with them and there's more to come."
