History was created at the Gold Coast pitch yesterday as Kilrossanty captured their first ever Under-20 County hurling Championship title..
A strong finish saw the Green and Gold overcome neighbours Clonea in a thrilling "B" Final by 0-20 to 3-8.
Padraig Fitzgerald shot thirteen points (four from play) in a man of the match display as his twin brother Seamus hoisted the trophy.
The sides were level at half-time, 2-4 to 0-10 and Kilrossanty were reduced to 14 players in the 2nd-half when Michael Casey was shown a second yellow card.
Captain Seamus Fitzgerald told WLR Sport it's a brilliant feeling to get over the line.
"It's a good team since growing up but we never seemed to win anything. It's a great feeling to win today finally," he said.
