Barry Keane Waterford AC and Butler University, USA has been selected as the Big East Conference Athlete of the week.
He set the Butler outdoor record in the 5,000 meters on Friday last at the Payton Jordan Invitational, clocking in at 13:26.29 a personal best to finish third in the elite field.
The time broke the old school record by more than four seconds and currently ranks 11th in the NCAA this outdoor season.
