Juvenile handball teams representing Waterford take part in All-Ireland finals

Teams from Friary Abbeyside Ballinacourty Handball club took part in the All-Ireland finals.

There was great recent news for the club as two juvenile teams representing Waterford reached the 60x30 finals in Mullinavat, Co. Kilkenny.

In the team of six U12/13 competition, Owen Morrissey, Jack Hurney, Patrick Mullaney, Tomás Hayes, Aidan Callaghan and Donnacha Callaghan represented their county but lost out in the final to a strong Kilkenny team.

In the team of four U16/17, Darragh Buckley, Harry Breen, Rody Morrissey and Daithí Colleran also reached the All-Ireland final but lost out to the Wexford team.

Despite the result, the club has expressed their congratulations to all the players who took part on reaching the finals and representing Waterford so proudly.
