Joe Gough of West Waterford Athletics Club has captured another European Masters gold medal this afternoon, having won the Over-70s 1500m final in the championships which are currently being held in Montesilvano, Italy.
Gough, who was ranked first of the fourteen competitors, was first home in a time of 5 minutes 29.21 seconds.
Zvonimir Perkusic of Croatia was second in a time of 5 minutes 32.95 seconds, while France’s Yves Levasseur claimed bronze in a time of 5 minutes 32.98 seconds.
