Sport Ireland are reviewing the James Cronin doping violation.

The Munster prop was banned for a month after a sample taken in November showed traces of two banned substances.

Cronin put their presence down to a dispensing error at a pharmacy.

Sport Ireland CEO John Treacy says they’re reviewing the case, which could end up with them appealing.

Meanwhile, Sport Ireland’s 2019 anti-doping figures showed a total of seven violations.

There were five adverse analytical findings, while the balance were “anti-doping rule violation cases”.

Three of the seven have been announced, while four are pending.
