Austin Gleeson, Iarlaith Daly and Shane McNulty are injury worries for the Waterford hurlers ahead of their Munster championship opener against Limerick on April 23.

Gleeson and Daly are recovering from hamstring injuries while McNulty broke a bone in his foot during the league defeat to Tipperary.

"There's two or three that are looking tight at the moment as regards making it," Déise selector Peter Queally revealed at the Munster championship launch yesterday. "Austin is a doubt, Iarlaith is a doubt and Shane is a doubt. Unfortunately, time looks like it's going to run out on them. One or two might see ten or fifteen minutes but they definitely won't see full games in either of the first two fixtures. What we're looking at is getting all three of them back for the third fixture maybe."

Daly got a knock in the last round of the league against Kilkenny. "In the last two or three minutes of that match, he picked up a hamstring injury that he's nursing. It's a race against time. Now, he did get more positive news on a further scan last week. We're still hopeful that Iarlaith might make some game time."
