Waterford forward Abby Flynn is set to miss the rest of the National Camogie League with a knee injury.

The 2022 All Star nominee came on as sub against Cork last month but suffered a setback earlier this week. "The injury in her knee is after recurring," Déise boss Jerry Wallace told WLR Sport. "She played in the Ashbourne semi final with DCU and was making great progress with us, came on in the Cork game. It happened at work. Her knee clicked and we're back to square one again with Abby. That's disappointing for her and for the whole group because she's a great character. She went to the Santry clinic but they won't look at it until the swelling goes down. You're looking at another six weeks which is a setback for her."

Waterford face Clare in Round 3 of the National League on Saturday in Fraher Field at 2 o'clock.
