Former Waterford manager Michael Ryan says that Peter Hogan has been Ballygunner's top performer in this year's championship.

The Gunners are one win away from ten county titles in a row. They will tackle De La Salle at Walsh Park on Sunday. Hogan hit three points from play in last week's semi final against Fourmilewater and Ryan has been impressed by his displays at wing forward.

"His energy levels were always high but I feel now he is more confident. He is getting three or four scores in every game. When any Ballygunner back or midfielder has a ball, he seems to be an option all the time. That's down to his movement and his fitness levels. He's just a top, top player. Over the years, he has played a bit for the county. I'd like to see him used more for the county because he has all the attributes."
