Waterford football captain Dylan Guiry will miss Saturday's Munster quarter final against Tipperary at Fraher Field through injury. The Nire attacker will be out of action for a month with a broken finger.

"He got caught in a tackle and broke his finger," manager Ephie Fitzgerald told WLR Sport. "He will be out for another three or four weeks minimum. He will be a big loss. John Elsted is also struggling but other than that we have a clean bill of health."

Michael Kiely from Dungarvan has returned to the squad after a spell on the senior hurling panel. "He's a big bonus to us."
