Waterford featured strongly in the 2022 Munster Rugby Awards, which were announced yesterday.

Trophies have been presented to the winners across nine categories of this year's awards.

Dungarvan has been named the Youth Club of the Year, with Munster Rugby saying they "epitomise all that is good about youth rugby" in the province.

They put a huge effort into increasing their playing numbers and continue to compete across both regional and provincial competitions.

Munster Rugby say the club continues to demonstrate huge commitment to its coaches and players.

Another of the big awards of the evening came Waterford's way, when Jack O'Donoghue was named Men's Player of the Year.

He's been a stand-out performer for Munster this season, featuring in 23 of their 26 games and clocking up more minutes on the field than any other player.

He also captained the side on 12 occasions.

This season saw the Waterpark and UL Bohemian man become the youngest player ever to reach the 150-cap landmark for Munster.
